Bud Mitchell – A True Pillar of the Kittrell Community

For over 37 years, Bud has been a selfless and devoted servant to the Kittrell community. Known for his unwavering generosity, he has always been willing to help—whether through his church, his business, or his everyday interactions. Bud has donated to numerous charities, provided tires for those in need, and consistently gone out of his way to support others without expecting anything in return.

As a former firefighter with the Kittrell Volunteer Fire Department, Bud served with honor and dedication. As a local business owner, he has created jobs and offered steady support to his neighbors, strengthening the local economy and lifting those around him. His faith and character shine through in everything he does, and many consider him one of the finest Christians they’ve had the privilege to know.

Simply put, no one cares more for the Kittrell community than Bud. His generosity, leadership, and deep-rooted compassion make him more than deserving of any recognition. We are all grateful to know him and his family—and proud to call him a friend and neighbor.

Clarence Brandon – A Kittrell Living Legend

For decades, Clarence Brandon, affectionately known as Mr. B, has been a cornerstone of the Kittrell community—as a teacher, recreation leader, and role model. His teaching went far beyond textbooks. Through humor, dance, and creativity, he sparked a sense of curiosity and joy in every student who walked through his classroom door. Former students still share stories of how Mr. B made learning fun and how he was the first to truly believe in them, helping to shape their confidence and future.

But Mr. Brandon’s impact didn’t end in the classroom. As the longtime leader of Kittrell’s summer recreation program, he turned summers into seasons of growth, fun, and safety for generations of children. Even after retiring from teaching, he continued to volunteer his time—helping with basketball camps on Saturdays and keeping the open gym running every summer, giving youth a safe and welcoming place to go. He’s provided meals, field trips, and mentorship, all with his signature care and consistency.

Mr. Brandon continues to live in the KES community, where he owns several properties and offers affordable rent, often lower than market rates, to support local families. His commitment to Kittrell is not just a legacy—it’s a daily practice of giving, leading, and loving his community.

In every sense, Mr. Brandon is Kittrell. His influence spans generations, and his dedication to children, families, and community wellness is unmatched. There is no doubt that Mr. Clarence Brandon is—and always has been—a true Kittrell Living Legend.
